From student rocketry to the next generation of British aerospace.

AVROS is an amateur rocketry organisation born from the UK student rocketry community. We are developing liquid propulsion and sounding rockets, with a long-term ambition to grow into a UK space company.

Our goal is to help bridge the gap between student rocketry and professional aerospace, giving talented engineers opportunities to design, build, and test real hardware.

MonoTube Liquids

A liquid rocket engine and self-pressurised propellant tank brought together in one assembly. The MonoTube programme aims to provide propulsion for a range of vehicles.

A UK-developed liquid bipropellant sounding rocket, designed to carry research payloads into the upper atmosphere and study conditions at supersonic speeds.

Launched at Friends of Amateur Rocketry in the USA, AVROS-C reached approximately 40,000 ft. The flight helped lay the groundwork for the OWL sounding rocket programme.
